It's life as it happens. It is me being a fly on the wall (did I mention I was quiet and stealthy like a ninja?) and capturing the big and small moments of your everyday. It is totally unscripted, no direction from me, and entirely spontaneous. It's my absolute FAVORITE style of photography because it is beautifully authentic, pure and 100% real.
If you google lifestyle or documentary photography, you are might be totally confused and there is good reason! Both of these types of photography are candid in style but the biggest difference is the level of involvement from the photographer. Lets break it down!
- Wear whatever you want.
- There is NO posing. Everything is 100% real life.
- You get to hang out with me and I'm really cool.
- Kids totally love these sessions and they love looking at the photos even more!
- There are not expectations, no stress about location and no worrying about grumpy kids (or dads).

Still thinking that this entire idea is absurd?
Why in the world would you want to hire someone to come document everyday life? Cell phone cameras are for that!
I get it, but here me out- There is such beauty in your day to day and a lot of times, you may look right past it. Also, chances are if you are whipping your phone out to capture a moment, you are not 100% enjoying it. Heck, you probably aren't even in the picture!
So let me come capture your life with my lens. I will create an artistic documentation of your beautiful life.
All the big and small moments - ones that may seem irrelevant now but will be the ones you yearn for as the years pass.
I promise you will feel totally comfortable with me being at your home (your kid might even ask me to stay for dinner - yes that has happened). Connecting with people comes very naturally to me and in turn everyone is relaxed which helps create truly authentic photos.
Want a documentary session but don't want to be stuck at home? Let's do it! We can meet at the beach, park, rolling skating ring, whatever! It is also fun to have an activity planned such as blueberry picking, hiking, cooking, or exploring a new location- anything that you can do as a family- I can document it!

-is kinda "the thing" these days. If you look for a lifestyle photographer, you will find A LOT! ..But every photographer has a different twist and a lot of it comes down to our individual, unique art. My type of lifestyle is documentary-ish.. BUT fancier. Check it out.

- There is some casual posing (I give you direction but you make it your own). NO awkward posing!
- Have a specific location in mind.
- Feel more comfortable with having some direction and prompts.
- Still want photos that have genuine laughter, love and connection.

Lifestyle photography tells your family's story with just a little bit of help. I find that this is the most requested type of session because you can still let everyone be themselves while still looking fabulous! Sometimes we just need some ideas, games or suggestions to spark conversation and connection. I will often bring some props (such as bubbles, wooden toys/ instruments, etc) and ask families to move, dance and play.If that sounds like your jam, then lifestyle is the way to go!

Just to recap! Documentary sessions are totally unscripted and have no prompts from me- they are life as it happens. moments unfold authentically. It's like I come to hang out and happen to have a camera in my hand.
Another recap! Lifestyle sessions are candid in nature but have a little help from yours truly. For example, I may suggest parents tickle kids or ask a senior to jeuje up their hair. There is no strict posing- all prompts are left open for interpretation in order for everyone to make it their own.

Life is to complicated, I like to make things easy! There are no hidden fees. Prices reflect total payment. To get on my schedule a $200 (non-refundable) deposit is due, along with a signed contract. invoices will be send VIA email and can be paid with credit/debit card, Venmo or Zelle.
